ADND: By change of running direction the pole operates in the normal way according to the steering of the reins. The pivoted bogie and front axle, however, are actuated with a given delay action. Thus the steering always describes a larger radius than rigid pivoted-bogies and allows you to drive around the obstacles on the racing line by being kind to your horses. At the same time the pole end measured to the jacking point of the pole support becomes 300 mm shorter. Thus the whole hitching unit is still more manoeuvrable.
